Feeding Frogtown

Feeding Frogtown was created to Support and Strengthen families living in our community.

The weekly food distribution at the West Minnehaha Recreation Center, and satellite distributions at Wilder and Como apartments (seasonal), became a necessity after the sudden loss of two local food shelves in the area.

We work with Frogtown Farm, Costco Maplewood, and other distributors to ensure we’re able to provide hyper-fresh produce to the 200+ families we serve, week in and week out. We also partner with the Animal Humane Society to feed pets as well.

Ultimately, we hope to work with other community organizations and stakeholders to develop and implement a vision for a truly self-sustaining neighborhood food system.

For Feeding Frogtown Coordinator Nura, the Frogtown neighborhood in St. Paul is one of love, care, and diversity. In partnership with Kitchen Coalition, Feeding Frogtown is able to distribute freshly prepared meals to nourish the community.
